Hello,

I'm Kathleen, a co-founder of Kala Adeona.

I'd like to welcome you to Kala, share a little about us, about how we came to be and about our purpose.

Both Lauren's (the other co-founder) & my journey started with a passion for helping others. Working within different teams, across sectors including charities, health, private & public. We have both worked within great teams and very unhealthy teams. This has been a driver for us to enable leadership teams and professionals to move from reactive and fragmented ways of working to connected, reflective, and high-performing systems that deliver sustainable impact, where wellbeing and performance work together.

We met in 2014, found we had shared passion, with an interest to do more: we started Kala in 2017.

Our Purpose:

We transform leadership teams by integrating systemic coaching, reflective practice, and psychological insight—helping organisations move beyond reactive cultures to create connected, resilient, and high-impact ways of working.

Our Passion:

Lauren and I founded Kala Adeona because we recognised the vital importance of psychological health and wellbeing as an integral aspect of being human. That the systems we operate within flourish when we do.

That thriving happens when in heathy environments. We have also seen and have sadly experienced what happens when unhealthy systems and patterns are perpetuated. Many of us are able to share examples of leadership and/or team relationships that resulted in poor work environments.

Burnout happens in unsupported systems where pressure becomes unhealthy. For individuals, life challenges can have devastating consequences.

When we integrate wellbeing and psychological health, it becomes more than a policy or process add on. It becomes part of our culture, where we have effective systems and where individuals can be supported and challenges can be met.

We are passionate creating thriving and flourishing cultures leading to high value & high impact teams.

Strategic Partners:

We exist to transform how leadership teams work, embedding reflective, systemic and psychologically-informed practices that create healthier cultures, stronger connections, and sustainable organisational impact.

I (Kathleen) am a Wellbeing Psychologist with a postgraduate certificate in Health Psychology, currently completing the Systemic Team Coaching Program with Peter Hawkins.

Lauren is a Psychotherapist with a Masters in Psychology. We both have extensive continued professional development (CPD) and career experience, from practitioners working direct with clients in intervention & therapy, through to senior & executive leadership.

We have worked across sectors including health & education, criminal justice and the voluntary & community (VCS). The combination of our CPD & professional experience enriches the expertise we bring.

That passion for learning, for ensuring we do the research and development enriches our partnership with you.
